Immigration Services
One thing is universal. Everyone dreams of living the "American dream." Well, for one of our clients recently the "American dream" almost became a nightmare.
Our client had arrived in the United States several years ago on a work visa and fell in love and married a United States citizen. He was never advised by his former attorney that he had to change his status based on that marriage. Of course, with time, his work visa expired and he was out of status. All while married to a U.S. citizen.
By coincidence, he was detained by the INS and deportation hearings were started against him. The Adanas Law Firm was retained and quickly filed a motion for a bond hearing and had our client released on bond. Thereafter, we filed a family based petition, adjustment of status, and employment authorization simultaneously. His family petition was approved; he was fingerprinted, and soon after received his employment authorization. At his deportation hearing, we advised the Court of the INS decision and his deportation hearing was cancelled and his case remanded back to USCIS.
The Adanas Law Firm went with the family to their interview where our client was approved for his green card. He is on his way to U.S. citizenship and back on track to find the "American dream."

The Co-Op Board had stringent financial requirements and required a written application and board hearing. The Adanas Law Firm carefully prepared his application and represented him during the Board hearing. The Board approved his application and soon thereafter, he was not a first time homebuyer, but a first time homeowner.
